3 Belt Intermittent Side Sealer for Fulfillment / e-Commerce
The Advantage Machinery 3 Belt Intermittent Motion Series Side Sealer are manufactured using the most modern technology available. The SXE machine is a special machine designed for e-Commerce Fulfillment Centers.
The machine comes standard with a 6ft infeed conveyor which transports the product into the sealer. The first conveyor of the sealer automatically spaces the product. The spacing conveyor also has the film plow which inverts the center folded film around the product. The bagged products then goes into the side seal area where the side of the bag is sealed and the scrap automatically goes into the take away wheel. Finally, the bag is sealed to size with the cross seal and transported either onto a conveyor or into a tunnel via the takeaway conveyor belt.
This machine allows for a variety of products to be packaged, including very long and variable length products. The machine comes with a handheld scanner which the operator uses to set the machine parameters from the recipe change. To set each size, the operator presses a button which turns on the scanner and the operator scans the bar code of the next product. The machine then automatically changes the position of the film inverter height, conveyor width, side seal height and the cross seal opening. The touch screen then will give the operator instructions for the next steps on the film, whether it's to adjust the scrap or to change the roll. Once the operator confirms the film is set correctly, the machine is ready to run.
